Mallorca: Caves of Drach Day Trip & Optional Caves of Hams

About This Experience
This guided day trip departs from hotels across southern Mallorca, collecting guests between 8:00 and 9:00 AM before heading east to the Caves of Drach near Manacor. The caves are among the most visited natural attractions in Spain, and for good reason: four enormous interconnected chambers are packed with stalactites and stalagmites formed over millions of years by Mediterranean seawater pressure.
The undisputed highlight is Lake Martel — at 177 metres long, one of the largest underground lakes in the world. Guests take a seat in a natural amphitheatre carved from the cave walls and watch a synchronized light show set to live classical music performed by a small orchestra floating toward them on the dark water. Those who wish can also row across the lake to the exit by boat.
The half-day option concludes with a stop at an exhibition on Manacor's pearl farming industry — one of Mallorca's most famous crafts. The full-day upgrade continues to the Caves of Hams, renowned for their fish-hook-shaped stalactites whose unusual form still puzzles geologists, before finishing with free time in the charming coastal village of Porto Cristo.
Transport is by air-conditioned coach with a licensed guide throughout. All entrance fees to the Caves of Drach (and Caves of Hams for the full-day option) are included, along with a pearl factory visit and travel insurance.
Take an excursion to the east coast of Majorca and explore the caves with a large underground lake where you’ll enjoy a live classical concert.

Wonderful trip, loved the caves, especially when they cut the lights and the rowing boat with the orchestra playing beautiful classical music came rowing across in the dark. It was such a fabulous experience.

Great half day out with the visit to the pearl factory and then the caves. The caves were amazing! The show towards the end was just stunning and if you are up for it, they can row you across to the other side in boats. Such a great day — guide and transport were good. Thanks Luis!

Really enjoyable day. Our guide Juan was very friendly and gave clear instructions and info. We were very impressed he could give all information in three languages. The caves themselves were beautiful and not a sight to be missed.
